Unearthed High Terms and Conditions
The Unearthed Artist Agreement and General Competition terms and conditions apply to this competition.
This competition starts 9am AEST on Tuesday 30th March 2010 and closes at 5pm AEST Sunday 16th May 2010.
To enter the Competition, you must:
sign up or be signed as an artist on triplejunearthed.com and sign the artist agreement;
have at least 50% of your band currently attending the same high school;
produce an audio recording of an original song and upload it to the unearthed site by the closing date;
The finalists and the winner will be chosen by a panel of triple j experts including the music director, Richard Kingsmill and the program director, Chris Scaddan. We will be choosing one national winner. The winner will be selected based on the quality of songwriting, musicianship and the potential to benefit from a re-recording of the winning track.
The finalist must receive permission from their principal to hold a lunchtime concert at their school between 21st June - 2nd July.
The finalists will be announced on Monday 24th May.
The winners will be announced in accordance with the General Terms & Conditions on Monday 7th June.
The prize consists of the following:
A special lunchtime performance at the winning high school by the winning band and British India.
A triple j presenter/s to MC the performance
An opportunity to re-record the winning track with triple j music engineers in triple j’s Sydney studios
Airfares from nearest capital city to triple j studios in Sydney for band members and one guardian
Accommodation for band members and one guardian for two nights during recording
Feature on triple j tv.
Total prize value estimated at $3000
A winning band who ordinarily resides in Sydney is not eligible to win the Accommodation and Airfares.
