Groovin the Moo

Groovin the Moo is back and bigger than ever in 2010 putting the culture back into agriculture! This year's five city stellar lineup incude Vampire Weekend, Silverchair, Empire of the Sun, and Tegan and Sarah!

triple j and GTM are giving one lucky artist/band in the regions of Bendigo (including Bendigo, Ballarat and Goulburn Valley), Townsville (including Townsville, Mackay and Tropical North), Maitland (including Maitland, Newcastle and Upper Hunter), Canberra (including Canberra, South East NSW, or Illawarra) and Bunbury (Bunbury, Southern Agricultural) the opportunity to strut their stuff on stage at the GTM event in their local area!

Groovin the Moo Bendigo (1st May) regions: Bendigo, Ballarat, Goulburn Valley

Groovin the Moo Townsville (2nd May) regions: Townsville, Tropical North, Mackay

Groovin the Moo Maitland (8th May) regions: Upper Hunter, Newcastle

Groovin the Moo Canberra (9th May) regions: Canberra, South East NSW, Illawarra

Groovin the Moo Bunbury (15th May) regions: Bunbury, Southern Agricultural

Terms and conditions
  1. The Unearthed Artist Agreement and General Competition terms and conditions apply to this competition.
  2. This competition starts 9am AEST on Wednesday 10th March 2010 and closes at midnight AEST Sunday 4th April 2010.
  3. All artists from Bendigo, Ballarat, Goulburn Valley, Townsville, Tropical North, Mackay, Upper Hunter, Maitland, Newcastle, Bunbury, Southern Agricultural, Canberra, South East NSW or Illawarra who have tracks uploaded to triplejunearthed.com during this time will be eligible and the winner will be chosen by a panel of triple j experts including the music director, Richard Kingsmill. The winner will be picked based on their ability to deliver a good live performance suitable for the Groovin the Moo all ages audience.
  4. The winners will be announced in accordance with the General Terms & Conditions on 10th April 2010.
  5. The prize consists of the following:
    • An opportunity to perform at the Groovin the Moo Festival in your region on the date stated.
    • $500 performance fee.
  6. 1 night share accommodation if living a reasonable distance from the festival, as determined by GTM and triple j.
  7. Artist will be responsible for transport to and from the festival.
  8. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  9. No replacement will be offered in the event that the prize cannot be claimed on the stipulated dates.
  10. In the event that the winner of the competition is under the age of 18 years, a guardian over the age of eighteen must accompany the winner at the guardian’s expense.
  11. Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. As a winner, you will be representing triple j at this event. As such you are obligated to behave responsibly and professionally and comply with the rules and requests that triple j and the event organisers ask of you. This includes turning up on time, sticking to your designated area and not helping yourself to other artists' riders. Failure to do so (and trust us, we'll hear about it) will result in triple j withdrawing our support of your band.
