Parklife

Parklife celebrates it's 10th birthday this year and delivers a stellar lineup including a mix of bands, DJs and live dance acts.

Parklife always brings a bunch of hot fresh artists not seen by the Australian public before, and this year is no exception. International artists who will be performing in Australia for the first time including Chiddy Bang, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Dan Black, Darwin Deez and Kele (Bloc Party) who's touring with a full band.

Then there are the classic acts - The Dandy Warhols, The Wombats, Soulwax, Mix Master Mike and Missy Elliott, who's returned to touring this year after a long hiatus. It's going to be massive.

And for the third year running triple j Unearthed and Parklife are making sure you get a shot at a place on the bill. We're offering one band from every mainland state the chance to do your thing in the Parklife in your capital city.

To be in the running you just need to have your music uploaded on the site (either live or pending) by Sunday 22nd August.

GOLD COAST - SATURDAY 25th SEPTEMBER. PARKLANDS.
PERTH- SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER. WELLINGTON SQ. EAST PERTH.
MELBOURNE- SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER. THE SIDNEY MYER MUSIC BOWL AND THE KING'S DOMAIN.
SYDNEY- SUNDAY 3rd OCTOBER. KIPPAX LAKE, MOORE PARK.
ADELAIDE- MONDAY 4th OCT (LONG WEEKEND). BOTANIC PARK, BOTANIC GARDENS OF ADELAIDE.






Terms and conditions
  • The Unearthed Artist Agreement and General Competition terms and conditions apply to this competition.
  • This competition starts 9am AEST on Monday 28th July and closes at 12pm AEST Sunday 22nd August 2010.
  • All artists with tracks uploaded to triplejunearthed.com during this time will be eligible. We will be choosing one winner from NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA. The winner will be chosen by a panel of triple j experts including Richard Kingsmill the music director. The winner will be picked based on their ability to deliver a good live performance suitable for a Parklife audience.
  • The winner will be announced in accordance with the General Terms & Conditions in August 2010.
  • The prize consists of the following:
    • An opportunity to perform at Parklife in their state- September/October 2010
    • Performance Feee - $500
  • The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  • No replacement will be offered in the event that the prize cannot be claimed on the stipulated dates.
  • Artists will be responsible for transport to and from the venue.
  • Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • As a winner, you will be representing triple j at this event. As such you are obligated to behave responsibly and professionally and comply with the rules and requests that triple j and the event organisers ask of you. This includes turning up on time, sticking to your designated area and not helping yourself to other artists' riders. Failure to do so (and trust us, we'll hear about it) will result in triple j withdrawing our support of your band.
