Spine
Genre: Indie, Pop
Region: Adelaide, SA
Members: Catherine Davies - viola, vocals, percussion Felicity Davies - cello, vocals, percussion Michael Hartwich - piano, vocals, percussion

Three kindred spirits, three classically-trained musicians, two sisters and one troubadour, indie-folk stylings melting from their collective fingers and too much advantageous parental musical influence as kids. Then fate tripped the light fantastic and Spine came alive.
Born of the love between shared stories and experiences, classical, folk, jazz and pop influences can be found scattered throughout Spine's reality-meets-fairytale foundations. Spine's music is endearingly honest with a gentle majesty, fusing string-laden piano balladry with a good handful each of guts, quirk and irony - a storm in a teacup.
Quietly indenting their place in South Australia's vibrant live music scene in just over a year, Spine have quickly captured audiences' attention with their unassuming and laid-back stage persona and you-would-rather-be-here-than-anywhere-else ability to captivate and delight.
Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Spine's debut independent EP 'Sound before the Symbol' will be released late July 2010, available from iTUNES, Bandcamp and select independent retail outlets.
